Training on the Structural, Magmatic and Geothermal Development of the Olkaria Volcanic Complex

The training is expected to form geologists and remote-sensing digital elevation models (DEMs) for geological studies. The training will also lead to a revised and improved understanding of the geological and structural setup of the Olkaria and Eburru geothermal fields to aid in successful well siting and strategy and offer insights for the management to improve assessments of the geothermal reservoirs. The course format will be a blend of classroom lectures, exercises, embedded field trainings with different teams, and contributions by the participants that will be shared during discussion sessions and final reporting.
