6. Wie beeinflusst Postdigitalität seinen Denk- und Schaffensprozess?

Ich meine, ich persönlich habe meinen Instagram-Account vor ein paar Jahren eröffnet, kurz vor COVID, glaube ich. Das habe ich meiner Produzentin in den USA zu verdanken, die mir sagte: "Du solltest einen Instagram-Account erstellen, es wird gut für dich sein, für uns, für die Produktion, um dich als Regisseur zu verkaufen, aber es wird auch gut für dich sein, weil du Spaß dabei haben wirst. Und das ist wahr. Sie hatte Recht. Also fing ich an, kleine Videos zu drehen, und es war ziemlich aufregend. Und es hatte sogar Auswirkungen auf meine Arbeit, weil ich anfing, sehr kurze Videos zu machen, was ich vorher nicht getan hatte, wie Kurzfilme, die eher fünf oder zehn Minuten lang waren. Als ich anfing, kleine Videos für Instagram zu machen, hatte ich wirklich viel Spaß dabei. Und das hat sich tatsächlich auf meine Arbeit ausgewirkt. Es hatte auch Auswirkungen auf die Art und Weise, wie die Leute mit mir in Kontakt treten, so wie du es tust.
Und ich hatte auch die Möglichkeit, einige Auftragsarbeiten zu machen. Ich hatte auch die Möglichkeit, ein paar NFTs zu verkaufen. Vor ein paar Jahren wurde ich von einer Person von Instagram kontaktiert, die eine Online-Ausstellung mit NFT-Verkauf organisierte. Das war, glaube ich, vor etwa fünf Jahren oder so. Und er kontaktierte mich und auch ein paar andere Künstler, die ich sehr mag. Und es war für uns alle die erste Erfahrung mit NFT. Und es war ziemlich aufregend, würde ich sagen, denn jeder von uns hatte nur zwei Werke zum Verkauf, und es war eine kollektive Ausstellung, die zwei Wochen lang lief oder so ähnlich. Die Ausstellung hieß "Credit to the Edit". Und wir alle haben unsere Stücke zu einem ziemlich guten Preis verkauft.
Und danach dachte ich mir: "Wow, ich höre mit allem anderen auf und mache nur noch das hier. Und dann kann ich mein Leben als Künstlerin leben und muss nie wieder Auftragsarbeiten machen, ich werde nur noch das machen!" Also begann ich, zwei andere Videos zum Verkauf anzubieten, aber es brachte nichts. Denn dieser Mann hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, die Ausstellung zu gestalten, richtig zu kommunizieren. Und er hat großartige Arbeit geleistet. Und es war sein Verdienst, dass alles geklappt hat. Danach hatte ich ein paar Gelegenheiten, NFTs an Sammler zu verkaufen, die mich kontaktierten, aber an seriöse Leute. Für mich ist das eine Möglichkeit, von meiner Kunst zu leben, was großartig ist. Wohin geht die Reise dann in Zukunft? Das kann ich nicht sagen...

I mean, personally, for sure, I opened my Instagram account a few years ago, right, like, just before COVID, I think. I did that thanks to my producer in the US, she told me, you should create an Instagram account, it's going to be good for you, for us, for the production to sell you as a director, but it's going to be good for you because you're gonna have fun. And that's she was true. She was right. So I started to do little videos, and it was pretty exciting. And it had impacted my work, in fact, because I started to do very short videos, which I didn't do before I was doing, like short films, that were more like, five minutes or 10 minutes. Once I started to create little videos for Instagram, I really had a lot of fun doing that. And it had affected in fact, my work. It had also affected the way people get in touch with me, as you are doing it.
And I also had like, opportunities for doing some commission works. I also had the chance to sell a few NFTs. A few years ago, I was contacted by a person from Instagram, he was organizing an online exhibition with NFT sales. And that was, I believe, like, five years ago, something like that. And he contacted me and also a few other artists that I really like. And, and it was our first, for all of us, our first experience with NFT. And it was quite exciting, I believe, I would say, because we only had two pieces on sale, each of us, and it was a collective exhibit that was for like, two weeks or something like that. And the exhibit was called „Credit to the Edit“. And all of us sold our pieces at a pretty good price.
So, after that I was like: „Wow, I'm going to stop everything else, I'm going to just do this. And then I'll be able to live my life as an artist and never have to do any commission work again, I will only do that!“ So I started to post two other videos on sale and it didn't do anything. Because this guy did a lot of work to create the exhibition, to communicate properly. And he did a great job. And it was thanks to him that everything worked out. So after that, I had a few occasions to sell NFTs to collectors who contacted me, but serious people. For me, it's a way to live of my art, which is great. Then, where is it going to go in the future? I cannot say...
