Student Participation at the University

  As a student at University of Potsdam, you have many opportunities to actively shape the university.
  
  You can do this both as part of student self-administration (i.e., in committees composed solely of students) and through academic self-administration (i.e., committees composed of various university stakeholder groups).
  
  The easiest way to get involved is through your department student council (= Fachschaftsrat/ FSR).
  
  Committees at the Faculty of Sciences with student representation include:

  Examination Boards (= Prüfungsausschüsse)
  
  Study Committees (= Studienkommissionen)
  
  Departmental Councils (= Institutsräte)
  
  Commission for Gender Equality & the Advancement of Women (= Kommission für Gleichstellung & Frauenförderung)
  
  University-wide committees include, for example:
