The colloquium is intended for students who are about to begin work on their MA-thesis in "Fremdsprachenlinguistik," "KoVaMe," or any other program that requires a colloquium. Ideally, the colloquium would be attended during the last semester of course work or during the semester in which students are preparing their thesis. The following points will be addressed: the selection of a research topic and the negotiation of the topic with the supervisor, the methodologies/methods most appropriate for executing the research and writing the thesis, a critical review of the research projects.
